Fire Evacuation Zone

Map

The mandatory evacuation zone for Waller County is all areas east of FM 362 and north of the Waller/Harris County line (Spring Creek) to the Montgomery and Grimes County lines.

There will be no re-entry into the evacuation zone until the fire has been completely extinguished.

Important information regarding enforcement of evacuation areas.

Important to note regarding areas in the County: These areas have been established to ensure the safety of Waller County residents. The impacted areas, and some non-impacted areas which are only accessible via impacted routes are still considered unsafe. In these areas, fires continue to burn, debris continues to impede normal traffic routes, emergency vehicles still need clear, fast routes to to danger zones and power lines are still down. For these reasons, law enforcement officials will continue to man road blocks and enforce laws pertaining to evacuations. As a reminder, a person commits an arrestable offense if he or she enters into an area established as an evacuation zone without authorization. Furthermore, the interference with a peace officer, emergency medical service worker or fire fighter during the exercise of his or her duties is also an arrestable offense. Please respect the laws that are in place for our safety.
